We join the families and entire Jewish nation in mourning the tragic cold-blooded murder of the six hostages found yesterday by the IDF in Gaza: Hersh Goldberg-Polin,23; Eden Yerushalmi, 24; Ori Danino, 25; Alex Lubnov, 33; Carmel Gat, 39;
Almog Sarusi 27; and the three police officers murdered in a terrorist attack earlier today: Arik Ben Eliyahu, Hadas Branch, and Roni Shakuri.
Our hearts are broken.
We join the family and loved ones and all who mourn the loss of these precious souls. As our tradition tells us, “the loss of a life is the loss of an entire world.” Our world is diminished many times over by the loss of these innocent victims who did nothing wrong and did not deserve to die.
The way the hostages were brutally executed after surviving almost a year in unimaginable conditions in the Hamas tunnels should serve as a reminder of the true intention and barbaric nature of the terrorists Israel is fighting.
We pray for those still being held against their will in Gaza, and demand their safe and immediate return by Hamas.
We call upon the world to rise up against this personification of evil and unite in the effort to defeat Hamas and Iran, and to pressure them to end the war so that the suffering will end and no more innocent blood will be shed.
