The Zionist Rabbinic Coalition, representing a cross-denominational network of rabbis across North America, expresses strong support for current efforts to confront the existential threat posed by the Iranian regime.
For more than four decades, Americans across the political spectrum, as well as global leaders, have recognized the grave danger of a nuclear-armed Iran. Preventing the Iranian regime from acquiring nuclear weapons has long been a central objective of American foreign policy. A nuclear Iran could trigger a cascade of proliferation across the Middle East, with other nations pursuing their own nuclear capabilities — further endangering the United States and undermining global stability.
We commend the partnership between the United States and the State of Israel in confronting this threat and hope it will result in dismantling the regime’s nuclear ambitions, its support for terror proxies and development of destructive missiles. This alliance and its mission advance shared strategic interests and reflects a shared commitment to defending democratic values against a regime that sponsors terrorism across the globe, brutalizes its own people and seeks to export its extremism. We express deep appreciation for the moral clarity of American leadership to confront the regime and the courage and professionalism of the American and Israeli armed forces.
At the same time, we affirm our enduring hope that the people of Iran — whose rich history and culture we deeply respect — may one day live in freedom, dignity, and peace.
We recognize that this moment brings significant economic and political challenges in the United States. We urge American leaders to remain steadfast in the face of pressure, mindful that the pursuit of long-term security and freedom requires tenacity and persistence.
We pray for the safety of those on the front lines, for wisdom and courage among leaders, and for a future in which all nations live in greater security and peace. May the actions of the United States and Israel in confronting Iran help bring about a world that is safer, more just, and truly free.
